ZEUS - Zope Environments in the University of Strathclyde

The following projects will investigate the potential of Zope for creating web-based environments.

ZEALOUS II Project(s): Zope is being used to assist in the delivery of teaching material in a number of Universities. The first phase of the project is to research the use of Zope in a number of institutions. The purpose of this initial research is to (attempt to) identify the strengths and weaknesses of Zope in such environments. The second phase of the project is to design and implement a local Zope environment to assist some aspect(s) of online learning here in the Department of Computer Science.
ZOETROPE II Project: AV Media Services have provided a digital reference library of photographic images for use by University staff. This currently exists in Extensis software on an Apple Mac computer within the Photography section (stand alone). In order to make this service more widely available and to streamline the handling of images it would make sense to provide an online imagebase which could be accessed by those departments mainly involved with the marketing of the University. This is an extension and enhacement to the first ZOETROPE project.
