Dave on the road to recovery

(by Duncan, @ 11:25 PM)

Excellent news - Dave let's us knowthat he's out of hospital and on the road to recovery.

It's heartening to see so many people contributing their get well messages and other news to Everybody Blogs It. Here's hoping for a speedy and full recovery for Dave and, in due course, a return to full 'weblogging' strength.

Weblogging IWMW-2002

(by Duncan, @ 10:35 AM)

It would be disingenuous of me to extoll the virtues of weblogging without weblogging the Institutional Web Management Workshop 2002 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week. I can't promise that it'll be real-time, or even comprehensive, but I'll do my best to capture some of it.

One excellent feature of the IWMWs is the fact that, as you might expect, most of th material covered is already online. So, if you start from the IMWM-2002 home page you can get the skinny on what is going (to go) on. There are a few notable exceptions to the current availability of on-line material B-} No doubt, the notes will appear in due course ;-)

One downside of committing to weblog the workshop is that I've resolved to be teetotal for the duration of the event. I find it difficult to weblog when inebriated or hungover! I hope I can stick to my resolution.

IWMW-2002 Weblog

(by Duncan, @ 3:18 PM)

I've created a weblog dedicated to IWMW-2002 so that I can jot down thoughts, ideas, and notes about the event. Not surprisingly the URL is http://duncan.smeed.org/iwmw-2002/

Pyra - One of Fortune's picks for Cool Company of 2002

(by Duncan, @ 10:52 PM)

via InstaPundit.Com:
PYRA IS A COOL COMPANY OF 2002 according to Fortune. It's well-deserved. Blogger has its issues, but it almost singlehandedly created the contemporary Blogosphere. Not many companies can produce such a major social change with a single product, especially one that's essentially in beta.
