O'Reilly Network: The new iMac may be the Ideal platform for XP

O'Reilly Network: The new iMac may be the Ideal platform for XP [February 06, 2002]
Those unfamiliar with Extreme Programming may wonder what all of this has to do with XP. First, let's get one thing straight -- long before Microsoft decided to co-opt XP to stand for their operating system, Extreme Programming has been using XP as the short hand for their methodology. Ron Jeffries holds the rights on the XP logo that predates the MS release. I was teaching a seminar on XP at a local University when MS made the announcement of their choice of name. So if a Windows user types XP into a search engine and comes across a headline that leads them to believe their beloved OS runs on a Mac ...

So there!!

A New Look for Serious Instructional Technology (SiT)

(by Duncan, @ 3:41 PM)

David C-T is about to find out how long ago it is since I last visited Serious Instructional Technology (SiT): A Daily Log of Instructional Technology News and Ideas as it's only now I've noticed the new look. Nice and clean David.

PS Is it just me that finds it strange that there's so many Davids blogging ;-)?

PPS That give me an idea: blogrolling wth a different daily theme. For example, "today I will blogroll sites that are written by people called David." ;-) Tomorrow, cat-lovers. The day after Mac OS X users.... You get the idea ;-)...

One of the nice things about RSS aggregation is the impulse linking that spins out from it. Since installing Radio I've visited more new sites than I would normally have done. In fact, it'd make an interesting study to 'discover' when and where people first started blogging on the basis of their circle of blog-friends. Personally, I still most often visit the sites that started out in the early day of EditThisPage. Blogging can be rather incestuous in that respect.

Dave lectures David Bayly on integrity

(by Duncan, @ 12:04 AM)

I decided that my opinion about David B pushing back at Dave W was just cluttering up my home page and because it's been a while since I used the Summary feature of this weblog. The comments link above will still take you to the original text.

Going for the Gusto

(by Duncan, @ 3:25 PM)

Seth is Going for the Gusto having installed OS X:
I can't believe what I've been missing.

This is great news for those of us already using OS X and Conversant as a productivity 'suite'.
