This evening Pauline and I are meeting with some of our oldest friends - Andrea and Glyn, Irene and Archie - for our pre-Christmas dinner together in an Aberlady restaurant. Looking forward to it.

I'm still pretty knackered - it's been non-stop chores today to get ready for Christmas. But at least we are just about straight. Tomorrow I'll be taking it easy - just some last-minute shopping, chores, etc. Pauline is working tomorrow but will hopefully finish early so we can begin to relax 24 hours from now.

The FBI is urging computer users to unplug and don't play when it comes to addressing serious security flaws found in Microsoft's new Windows XP program.

Recommendation: Microsoft strongly urges all Windows XP customers to apply the patch immediately.
