Becoming conversant with javascript: I now realise that Conversant could be a superb test platform for learning Javascript. I've put off learning Javascript until now beacuse of the awkwardness of the Edit/FTP/Test cycle using traditional static site generation tools.

Why? - because Conversant is a highly adaptable content management system (CMS) that has good hooks for incorporating Javascript into dynamically generated pages.
