I couldn't let the day go by without marking the 4th anniversary of Duncan's Jotter. I find it hard to believe that it's four years since I became truly Conversant ;-)

Talking of marking I finally managed to get the last of my students' exams and coursworks assessed and processed in the wee hours of this morning - just in time for the internal exam board meeting at work. That's all I am prepared to say about that subject just now except that I can now finally unmask my interrupts.

So my life can return to some semblance of normality. I have a bunch of things to catch up on and get out of the way over the next couple of weeks before I can even begin to think about relaxing. Expect more regular updates over the coming weeks and, in particular, responses to the excellent feedback I've received about The Software Developer as Movie Icon posting. I have to admit that the last few weeks of assessment have thrown many of the issues in that original article into stark reality.
