CRUZE -
Combining
Radio
Userland with a
Zope
Environment
Synopsis
The purpose of this project is to integrate Radio Userland (RU) [1] with Zope [2] in some meaningful way. There is already some development in this area - Zopefish [3] - and one of the first phases of the project is to evaluate Zopefish to see if it would be a sound basis for the design and implementation of CRUZE.
Since an outliner is at the core of RU, this capability should be incorporated into the final implementation of CRUZE. Since Zopefish is likely to provide the means to edit Zope templates and site structure, this project will probably concentrate on other aspects of RU and Zope integration. One possibility is to provide similar functionality to Userland's combination of the RU client with their Manila [4] server.
It is envisaged that XML-RPC [5] will be used for the the client-server interactions since both RU and Zope have XML-RPC interfaces. If time allows, a nice addition to the project would be a comparison of CRUZE with (the aims and objectives of) WebDAV [6].
