I've made the big switch. From now on my iBook is booting into OS X 10.1.2 by default. Most of the apps I use on a day by day basis have been ported to X. The few that aren't get used relatively infrequently so I'll bear Classic mode for these if need be. The once thing that was really holding me back was Eudora, but there's now a beta for X - albeit a bit flakey - which I downloaded and installed tonight. Same thing with Radio. Mac IE 5.1. BBEdit 6.5.1. Filemaker Pro 5.5...

I'll need to upgrade to the X version of Word eventually (regrettably). It wouldn't do any harm to replace the 256MB add-on memory with 512MB to go from 384MB to 640MB.
